Carboratory publishes independent automotive analysis. The policy below is how we treat figures, sources and language.
Official figures
Numbers taken from a manufacturer, a type-approval document or another primary source are labelled as official. We do not present them as Carboratory measurements.
Carboratory-tested figures
A result appears as Carboratory-tested only after we have measured it ourselves under a method we can describe. Empty fields mean the test has not been run yet.
Editorial impressions
Opinions about comfort, usefulness or who a car is for are labelled as such. They are not a substitute for a measured number.
Sources
Articles that use manufacturer or institutional figures link to those sources. We do not invent tests, quotes, staff or social accounts.
Corrections
If a published figure or attribution is wrong, we correct the article and note the update in the front matter when the change is material.
