The 2026 Paris Motor Show produced a wide range of new cars, concepts and technology demonstrations. Auto Express selected five standouts from the event: the Alpine A310 Vision, Fiat Multiplay, Geely Project KO11, Renault E-Space Concept and Opel STX Concept.

This is an editorial selection rather than a sales ranking or a comparison test. None of the five cars should automatically be treated as a production vehicle available to order. Some are design studies, while others have a stated development or European-availability plan but no final price and specification.

Alpine A310 Vision looks towards the next electric sports car

Alpine used Paris to show the A310 VISION, a concept that reinterprets the historic A310 name. The brand says the concept is based on the Alpine Performance Platform, an architecture intended to support future sports cars. Alpine has not published a final production specification, price or customer delivery schedule for a car based on the concept.

The A310 name gives the project a clear position within the range. The original A310 was a four-seat sports coupe, so the new study suggests that Alpine is considering a larger companion to the two-seat A110 while moving the idea into the electric era. The concept’s final battery, motor layout, output, weight and dimensions remain unknown.

The platform is important because Alpine describes it as modular and suitable for different body styles and powertrains. That does not mean every visible detail will reach production. A show car can demonstrate a design direction and a technical architecture without being a final homologated vehicle.

Fiat Multiplay turns a family vehicle into a pickup

Fiat Multiplay is one of the most unusual projects at the show. Fiat describes the 4.45-metre concept as a combination of MPV space, SUV character and pickup versatility. It is a mobility laboratory rather than a confirmed preview of one specific production model.

Its central idea is the C-Pillar “Metamorfosi” architecture. A sliding rear module can change the enclosed family cabin into an open load area. In the family configuration, the concept provides six seats plus a flexible “Petsenger seat”. In the utility configuration, four seats remain and an open bed can carry bicycles, sports equipment and bulky objects.

Fiat also says the rear spoiler can rotate into an integrated rack for up to two bicycles. The mechanism illustrates the question behind Multiplay: can one vehicle cover school runs, work, leisure and weekend transport without requiring several body styles? Fiat has not announced a battery, engine, range, price or production date for the concept.

The Multipla reference is a design and packaging link, not confirmation that the historic model is returning. Fiat presents Multiplay as a source of ideas for future affordable family-transport products.

Geely Project KO11 is aimed at the large plug-in hybrid SUV class

Geely revealed Project KO11 at Paris as a large all-terrain SUV with plug-in hybrid technology. The manufacturer says it has been developed with advanced suspension and intelligent all-terrain driving modes. Geely also says that the vehicle is planned for European availability at the end of 2027.

The official name, full technical specification and commercial details will follow later. In China, the project is connected with the Galaxy Cruiser 700 name, but that is not confirmed as the European badge. Reports have mentioned very high power figures, but Geely has not published a final number in the official announcement reviewed for this article.

KO11 matters because it shows Geely targeting a part of the European market usually associated with the Land Rover Defender, Toyota Land Cruiser and Ford Bronco. Its exterior uses upright proportions and visible off-road cues, while the plug-in hybrid system is intended to combine electric running with long-distance flexibility. The battery capacity, electric range, kerb weight, seating layout, ground clearance and towing rating are not yet confirmed.

Geely’s Paris presence also included the group’s first combined appearance for Geely Auto, Lynk & Co and Zeekr. The KO11 was a future-product statement rather than a launch with a complete price list.

Renault E-Space Concept is a fully electric family-car study

Renault presented E-Space Concept as a fully electric interpretation of its “voiture à vivre” idea: a car organised around the people who use it and the way they travel. The concept is also presented as a contemporary heir to the spirit of the original Espace, launched in 1984.

Renault has not released a homologated range figure, production battery, charging specification or sales date for an E-Space derivative. The value of the study is therefore in its packaging and design direction. It asks how a family vehicle can remain spacious and adaptable while the market moves towards electric platforms and SUV-shaped bodies.

Renault displayed the concept alongside the Renault 5 Turbo 3E, the new Mégane E-Tech electric and Trafic Van E-Tech electric. Renault Group said its Paris presence included 50 vehicles, concepts and demonstrators, with six world premieres across Renault, Dacia and Alpine.

Opel STX Concept tests the future of the estate car

Opel STX stands for Sports Tourer Experimental. The concept explores a low-roof alternative to the SUV, with shooting-brake proportions, a vertical rear and a new interpretation of Opel’s Vizor front. Vauxhall, Opel’s sister brand in the UK, says the study previews the future design direction of its estate cars and the next generation of its visual language.

STX is not an Astra replacement ready for orders. Stellantis has not released a production engine, battery, price or launch timetable for a series car derived from it. The concept’s point is more specific: practical family transport does not have to use an SUV body or look like a conventional estate.

What the five concepts say about the market

The Paris selection covers five different answers to the same industry pressures. Alpine is using electrification to rethink a sports coupe. Renault is applying it to a family-car concept. Geely combines a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a large off-road vehicle, while Fiat investigates a reconfigurable body and Opel gives the estate car a more expressive form.

The production status is different in every case. KO11 has a stated European target for the end of 2027, although its official name and details are still pending. A310 Vision, Multiplay, E-Space and STX remain concepts without full commercial specifications. Buyers should therefore treat Paris as a preview of design and engineering priorities, not as a list of cars that can already be ordered.
