Cadillac builds an 11-car Escalade-V edition for Sergio Pérez
Cadillac has created a limited Escalade-V dedicated to Formula 1 driver Sergio “Checo” Pérez. The Escalade-V Checo Pérez Edition will be allocated exclusively to Mexico and limited to 11 vehicles. The number matches Pérez’s racing number, while each SUV receives signed and numbered identification pieces aimed at collectors.
Eleven vehicles for one market
Cadillac unveiled the edition on October 19, 2026, with availability through Mexican Cadillac dealers from October 20. The company has not announced a United States allocation, a European version or a second production run. That makes this a market-specific collector edition rather than a new global trim level for the Escalade-V.
The Mexican price is published in pesos and is separate from the regular Escalade-V range. It is not converted here into a European catalogue price because exchange rates, import costs, taxes and registration would make such a figure misleading for buyers outside Mexico. The useful fact is the limited allocation: this is a low-volume product tied to a driver and a local market, not a normal option package that can be ordered internationally.
Each vehicle carries two numbered plaques, running from 1/11 to 11/11. The plaques reproduce Pérez’s signature and are placed on the B-pillar and centre console. They provide the clearest connection between the individual SUV and its namesake. The edition is therefore identified by traceable numbering rather than only by a badge or a set of colours.
The standard supercharged V8 remains
Cadillac did not change the powertrain for this tribute. The Escalade-V Checo Pérez Edition retains the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 used by the regular Escalade-V. Cadillac Mexico lists 682 hp and a 0–100 km/h time of 4.4 seconds for the Escalade-V. Those are manufacturer figures, not Carboratory test results.
The engine works with a 10-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. There is no extra output, different supercharger or driver-specific track calibration announced for the Checo Pérez Edition. Its mechanical identity therefore remains close to the standard SUV, while the limited number, the interior equipment and the Formula 1 references provide the distinction.
The V-Series chassis hardware is retained. The list includes an active-valve exhaust, six-piston Brembo front brakes, an electronic limited-slip differential, Air Adaptive Ride Suspension, Magnetic Ride Control and V-Mode. These systems matter because the special edition is not simply a cosmetic package applied to an ordinary Escalade. At the same time, Cadillac has not announced suspension settings developed specifically for Pérez.
Executive rear seating
The edition uses Cadillac’s V-Sport package. It adds executive second-row seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, plus folding trays and a rear command centre. The arrangement makes the Escalade-V suitable for carrying rear passengers in a high-equipment configuration, rather than focusing only on the acceleration of the V8.
The front seats also receive heating, ventilation and massage. The specification includes a broad suite of active safety systems and two years of OnStar Premium with unlimited data, according to the details reported for the edition. These items describe the Mexico-market configuration and should not be assumed to be available in the same form in other countries.
Formula 1 references outside the engine bay
Cadillac offers white and black exterior combinations with contrasting interior colours that echo the Cadillac Formula 1 programme. The SUV is not presented as a road-going replica of the team’s race car. Instead, the link is carried by the colour choices and the small details distributed through the vehicle.
The Cadillac and V-Series badges receive a blacked-out treatment, while the Cadillac logos become monochrome. A carbon-fibre engine cover is left visible rather than hidden, and sport pedals add a different interior touch. The exterior mirrors are programmed to project V-Series graphics onto the ground. Buyers also receive an exclusive welcome kit.
None of these changes alters the published engine output or acceleration. They make the vehicles identifiable as the Pérez series and provide owners with details that cannot be recreated by ordering a standard Escalade-V with a similar paint colour.
The Pérez connection
Sergio Pérez is one of the drivers announced for the Cadillac Formula 1 team’s debut season, alongside Valtteri Bottas. GM’s official announcements describe Pérez as part of the team’s 2026 driver line-up and have used him in Cadillac performance and Formula 1 material. The Escalade edition turns that sporting relationship into a road-car product for the Mexican market.
Cadillac has already used Formula 1 as a theme for another V-Series limited edition. The CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series was announced with production limited to 26 vehicles. That model also received performance changes, including a more powerful supercharger and a six-speed manual transmission. The Escalade-V Checo Pérez Edition follows a different formula: the mechanical package stays close to the standard vehicle and the emphasis moves to identification, comfort and styling.
What this edition is not
The Checo Pérez Escalade-V is not a new generation, a race vehicle or a unique engine programme. Cadillac has not announced a United States allocation, a European launch or another batch. The 11 vehicles are differentiated mainly through the plaques, the signed details, the equipment and the Mexico-only distribution.
For European readers, the story is therefore about limited-edition strategy rather than local availability. There is no European price or delivery programme in the official material reviewed here. The edition shows how Cadillac can connect its new Formula 1 identity to an existing V-Series SUV without turning the road car into a competition machine. The buyer gets the standard Escalade-V mechanical package, but with a fixed production number and a direct connection to Pérez’s team role.
