Nissan has released the first official images of the next Skyline. The Japanese sedan will enter its 14th generation and is scheduled to be unveiled in December 2026. The company says the model will remain a Japan-market car.
A sharper interpretation of the Skyline
The images show a more aggressive front end than the current sedan. At the rear, the lamp graphics recall the round-light identity associated with the Skyline GT-R, although Nissan has not announced a new GT-R derivative. The company has also kept the familiar Skyline name visible in the design.
Nissan CEO Ivan Espinosa has called Skyline an important model for the brand. Technical details remain limited: the manufacturer has not yet confirmed the powertrain range, output, dimensions or pricing. Any prediction about an electric or performance version would therefore be premature.
The first Skyline developed with AI assistance
The next Skyline is described as the first generation developed with the help of artificial intelligence. Nissan says the complete development programme took 26 months, roughly half the usual time for a project of this kind.
AI is being presented as a development tool rather than a replacement for engineering validation, testing or homologation. Nissan has not specified which individual design or engineering stages were shortened.
Built in Japan
Production is planned at Nissan’s Tochigi plant. There is currently no announced export programme for Europe or North America. The December reveal should clarify the car’s platform, propulsion system, equipment and Japanese-market launch timing.
