Jeep Avenger: two one-off examples at Interlagos, before the Brazilian debut

Jeep is bringing to Festival Interlagos 2026 (27–30 August, Autódromo José Carlos Pace, São Paulo) the new Avenger intended for Brazil — the compact SUV’s first appearance at a large-scale festival after the local launch. Alongside the series versions Altitude, Longitude and Limited, the brand is showing two showcars (buzzcars): one tied to the Marvel film Vingadores: Doutor Destino, the other inspired by rallying, made with Deus Ex Machina. Neither announces a series edition; they are Mopar personalisation showcases.

What happens at Interlagos

The event takes place at the Interlagos circuit, on Avenida Senador Teotônio Vilela, 261, São Paulo. Jeep will exhibit:

  • three commercial versions — Altitude, Longitude, Limited;
  • two one-off examples — Marvel theme and Deus Ex Machina rally.

According to Hugo Domingues (head of Jeep South America), for many Brazilian customers the Avenger represents the “natural transition” from hatch to SUV and, for a significant share, the first Jeep — commercial context for the Porto Real launch, not for the concepts.

Marvel showcar: Doctor Doom

The first buzzcar is inspired by Vingadores: Doutor Destino (Avengers: Doomsday), from Marvel Studios. The premiere in Brazilian cinemas is scheduled for 17 December 2026 (Jeep Brasil); the global date communicated by Marvel for the USA is 18 December 2026.

Modifications described officially by Jeep:

  • custom wheels and special paint;
  • wrap in a green inspired by the character Doctor Doom;
  • wrapped roof, stickers on the bonnet, sides and rear;
  • interior: custom seats, dashboard graphics, dedicated lighting;
  • Mopar accessories (Stellantis’s parts and personalisation division).

Jeep ties the look to the return of the Avengers franchise and Doctor Doom’s entry into the MCU — a brand-awareness campaign, not a catalogue-equipment proposal.

Deus Ex Machina showcar: off-road rally

The second example follows a speed-rally concept, in partnership with Deus Ex Machina — an Australian lifestyle and custom brand, also active in moto/auto culture. The Jeep–Deus Ex Machina collaboration in Brazil began in 2026, according to Stellantis.

Elements confirmed on the showcar:

  • bucket seats (fixed);
  • reinforced suspension;
  • smoked headlights and tail lights;
  • air intakes on the bonnet;
  • specific wheels and tyres;
  • Mopar accessories.

Stellantis does not mention engine or drivetrain changes; the showcar remains, most likely, on standard propulsion — T200 mild-hybrid combustion engine and front-wheel drive, like the rest of the Brazilian range. The look is more aggressive than the European Avenger 4xe or 4xe North Face edition, but without a promise of series 4x4.

Brazilian series Avenger: what differs from Europe

The production model looks like the European Avenger facelift — grille with seven slots, X-shaped tail lights, communicated off-road angles (approach 22°, departure up to 33.9°, ground clearance 221 mm). The major differences are place of manufacture and powertrain.

Series production at Porto Real began in July 2026, with the T200 Bio-Hybrid — the first 12V MHEV vehicle on the Brazilian line. Stellantis announces investments of R$3 billion in the Rio de Janeiro-state plant through 2030 and a second shift linked to the Avenger.

T200 power on the Brazilian Avenger is recalibrated to 116 hp (petrol or ethanol), below the figure on other Stellantis models with the same engine — information communicated by Jeep at the 12 August 2026 presentation, reported by G1. Torque: 20.4 kgfm. The 4xe and electric versions remain, for now, on the European agenda; they are not confirmed for Brazil.

Launch prices communicated on 13 August (reservations open): Altitude from R$114,990, Longitude R$135,990, Limited from R$145,990 — local equivalent, not prices for Romania.

What this means for Romania

The Avenger is already on the European market (including Romania), with 4xe / electric powertrains and versions that do not appear in the Brazilian T200 configuration. The Interlagos showcars will not be EU-homologated; they matter as a Jeep marketing signal and a Mopar demonstration, not as importable products.

For buyers in Romania the European offer, the local Jeep network and the 2026 facelift remain valid — not the São Paulo calendar or prices in R$.

Frequently asked questions

Will the showcars be sold?

No. Stellantis describes them as buzzcars / showcars for exhibition and partnerships (Marvel, Deus Ex Machina). Brazilian-catalogue Mopar personalisations are something else — more than 15 accessories produced locally, according to the launch release.

Does the Brazilian Avenger have all-wheel drive?

Not in the communicated series configuration: front-wheel drive and T200 + 12V MHEV engine. The rally showcar does not officially change the propulsion.
