Jeremy Clarkson is putting three cars associated with The Grand Tour up for auction. The cars come from his personal collection and will be offered without reserve at Iconic Auctioneers’ sale during the NEC Classic Motor Show in Birmingham on 14 November 2026.
The group consists of a 1982 Lancia Montecarlo Spider, a 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6 and a 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V. Clarkson has not explained why he is selling them. The auction announcement says the reason will become clear in a forthcoming season of Clarkson’s Farm.
The Lancia was Clarkson’s final Grand Tour car
The Lotus Blue Lancia Montecarlo Spider has the clearest link to the end of the series. Clarkson chose it for “One for the Road”, the final special featuring him with Richard Hammond and James May as lead presenters. The trip took the trio through Zimbabwe and Botswana.
For filming, the car received Ferrari 308-style rear lights, quad tailpipes, Lancia Delta Integrale wheels and front-end parts, cloth seats and a simple Alcantara-covered racing steering wheel. Clarkson bought the car after filming and kept it in his collection.
Alfa Romeo GTV6 and Lincoln Continental Mark V
The 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6 appeared in “Well Aged Scotch”, first broadcast in 2019. Clarkson drove it around Scotland’s North Coast 500 while Hammond used a Fiat X1/9 and May a Lancia Gamma Coupé. The auction listing records 28,315 miles, equivalent to roughly 45,556 kilometres.
The 1978 Lincoln Continental Mark V was used in “Lochdown”, the Scotland-based special made during the pandemic period. Its 6.6-litre engine was modified with nitrous injection for the programme, and the equipment remains with the car. The listing also notes bagpipes in the boot and a Cartier clock that featured in the episode.
All three cars will be sold without reserve. The Iconic Auctioneers sale takes place on Saturday 14 November 2026 at the NEC in Birmingham, as part of the Classic Motor Show.
