The Kia Seltos was officially launched in Romania today, 15 September 2026. The model is available with the 1.6 T-GDI petrol engine of 180 hp, a manual or automatic gearbox, and front-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The starting price displayed by Kia Romania is €25,930, including VAT, for the 1.6 T-GDI 6MT 4x2 Urban version. The figure includes a €1,500 launch discount, valid in the importer’s published offer until 30 September 2026 inclusive.
How much the Kia Seltos costs in Romania
Kia displays both the importer’s recommended price and the final price after the launch discount. The range starts with Urban equipment and runs up to X Line, with automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive options.

A mandatory legislative pack of 240 lei including VAT is added to the final price, according to information published on Kia Romania’s website. The importer notes that prices and offers may be changed without prior notice, and availability and the final price must be confirmed at a dealer.
180 hp engine and two types of transmission
The 1.6 T-GDI engine develops 180 hp and a maximum torque of 27 kgm at 4,500 rpm, according to the technical sheet published by Kia. With the manual gearbox, the Seltos accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and can reach 200 km/h.
For the 4x2 powertrain with a manual gearbox, combined WLTP consumption is between 6.577 and 6.885 l/100 km, and CO₂ emissions are between 149.08 and 156.04 g/km. The figures may vary by version and equipment.
536-litre boot
The Seltos is 4,430 mm long, has a 2,690 mm wheelbase and a 536-litre boot in the configuration with a tyre repair kit. With the rear bench folded, volume rises to 1,511 litres. Ground clearance is 160 mm.
Equipment and assistance systems
Depending on equipment level, the Kia Seltos can have 12.3-inch screens for the instrument cluster and multimedia system, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, OTA software updates and wireless smartphone charging.
The list of assistance systems includes, among others, lane keeping, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention warning, intelligent speed-limit assist, automatic emergency braking and a reversing camera. 360-degree monitoring and automatic parking assist are available depending on version or pack.
Kia Romania announces for the Seltos the standard 7-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty, under the conditions set out in the warranty booklet.
