Avatr has shown the T09 at the Paris Motor Show as a preview of its next flagship SUV. The concept uses a 2+2+2 six-seat cabin, a range-extender-style hybrid system and three electric motors. Avatr quotes a combined output above 1,000 hp. The brand is backed by Changan, Huawei and CATL, so the T09 also acts as a showcase for the group’s software, battery and chassis ambitions.
The Paris presentation took place on October 11. The vehicle should not yet be described as a confirmed European production model. It previews the SUV already revealed in China, where a domestic launch is scheduled for 2026. Avatr has not published European pricing, homologation or a final European equipment list.

A six-seat interior
The interior uses two individual seats in each of three rows. A 2+2+2 layout gives the second row a pair of separate chairs instead of a bench, which can improve access to the third row and give occupants a more lounge-like environment. It also consumes more width than a conventional family-SUV bench, so the production vehicle will have to balance comfort with packaging.
Avatr’s images show a broad digital dashboard, an elongated centre console and a calm, lounge-inspired cabin. Because the Paris vehicle is a concept, the final materials, controls and display hardware may change. The design nevertheless makes the intended role clear: T09 is planned as a large flagship for six occupants, not merely as a larger version of a compact crossover.

Chinese regulatory documents list the SUV at 5,285 mm long and 2,025 mm wide, with a 3,150 mm wheelbase. The listed height varies between 1,810 and 1,820 mm according to version. Those dimensions place the T09 firmly among large three-row SUVs and explain why the concept needs rear-wheel steering and advanced parking assistance.
Three electric motors and a 2.0T engine
Avatr calls the drivetrain an intelligent super-hybrid. A 2.0-litre petrol engine works with three distributed electric motors and all-wheel drive. The combined output is above 1,000 hp, although the company has not yet released a final production torque curve, acceleration time or complete power-management specification.
The system can use pure-electric, plug-in hybrid or range-extender modes. When the battery has sufficient charge, the SUV can drive electrically. On longer trips, the petrol engine can support the battery and reduce the need to stop at a charger. That description explains the technology, but it does not establish a European fuel-consumption or range result.
The Chinese filing lists a 71.24 kWh CATL battery. Data associated with that filing indicates roughly 300–330 km of CLTC electric range. An official Avatr announcement separately refers to more than 400 km of CLTC range for its flagship nine-series technology. The figures depend on version and test context; neither should be presented as a European WLTP rating for T09.

Huawei assistance and chassis technology
Avatr’s flagship package includes Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 assistance, Taihang intelligent control and a Huawei Qiankun XMC digital chassis. The announced hardware also includes closed dual-chamber air suspension, rear-wheel steering, crab mode and a turning radius in the four-metre class.
For a vehicle longer than five metres, these features have a practical purpose. Rear steering can reduce the effort needed in tight parking areas, while air suspension can adjust ride height and body control. They do not make the SUV autonomous in every environment. Production performance will depend on sensors, software, updates, road conditions and the laws of each market.
European plans remain open
Avatr has confirmed a Chinese launch in 2026 and used Paris to present the T09 as a vehicle with global ambitions. The show appearance alone does not confirm European sales. There is no European price, WLTP certification, final curb weight or delivery timetable at the time of writing.
The T09 is significant because it combines six individual seats with a high-output hybrid system and a battery large enough for meaningful electric driving. The next step is to see how much of the concept’s design and technology reaches production, and whether Avatr decides to bring the finished flagship to Europe.
